The Wuppertal Institute is providing scientific support for a citizen survey in Europe on the Circular Economy in the field of consumer electronics, with a particular focus on smartphones. Building on the previous project "Circular Economy Value Cases for Smartphones", or CEVaC for short, the aim is to generate new empirical insights into the usage and acceptance of circular economy offerings as well as the political and market landscape in five European countries (Germany, France, United Kingdom, Sweden, and Spain). The survey is being conducted by the market research institute Kantar.
The scientific support provided by the Wuppertal Institute includes assistance in the development of the questionnaire, background research on political and societal frameworks, the analysis and contextual interpretation of the data collected, as well as contributing to an accessible and well-structured publication of the findings. This approach aims to foster a more nuanced understanding of societal perspectives on the Circular Economy and to support the advancement of political, economic, and societal debates on circularity.
