This study provides an essential contribution to the improvement of the national greenhouse gas inventory. It makes data available on the use of secondary fuels in chosen industry sectors. In terms of this study data means the physical inputs on secondary fuels as well as the associated emission factors to calculate absolute quantities i.e. of carbon dioxide. The information for the use of secondary fuels, so far scattered to the four winds, have been systematically sighted and if necessary supplemented by estimations. The data has been collected in close collaboration with the associations of the following branches:

• Cement Industry
• Lime Industry
• Iron and Steel Industry and
• Pulp and Paper Industry

The catchphrased time series data (from 1990 until 2004) gathered in this study have been fetched into the data base. Time series data of secondary fuels divided by sectors and fuel types are supplemented by appropriate emission factors and so called split factors, which characterise the share of biogenous carbon content in the whole quantity.
